IndiGG Partners With Metalcore, A Mech Based Open World Web3 Game
Metalcore is a web3 game developed in collaboration between IndiGG and Frontier Developments in which users pilot Battle Mechs across an exotic world in PvP and PvE conflict.
Studio 369 developed MetalCore as the first massively multiplayer online (MMO) combat game that combines the engagement of high-quality traditional gaming with true asset ownership and other NFT mechanics that are intricately designed into gameplay. Unlike free-to-play games where players buy digital items with no inherent value, MetalCore’s in-game economy will allow players to buy, sell, and trade NFTs.
The MetalCore development staff has worked on games like MechWarrior 2, Mortal Kombat, and Gears of War during their careers at Activision, Disney, Lucas Films, and Midway. Concept artist Stephan Martiniere, who has worked on games like Magic: The Gathering, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, God of War, and Sky, is on board as well.
To make sure that their community and scholars have access to the top web3 games on the market, IndiGG is pleased to deliver such a high-quality game to them. As a result of this collaboration, IndiGG and Metalcore will launch a number of shared promotional campaigns to spread the word about Metalcore and the advantages of web3 gaming.
What does this mean for the IndiGG Community?
IndiGG guild members will have access to the play & earn parts of the game through scholarship programmes, as well as early access playtesting, the Metalcore Open World alpha, and co-op PvE and PvP gaming when those open.
